The Duke Spirit are to embark on a 10-date headline tour of the UK in November.
The tour, which kicks off on November 10 at Liverpool’s Korova Bar and culminates in a 650-capacity London show at 229 on November 21, is long-awaited and will follow the release of the superb new four track EP Ex Voto.
The EP, produced by Chris Goss (Queens OF The Stone Age/Soulwax) and recorded at Joshua Tree’s infamous Rancho de la Luna studio’s was released October 22 and celebrates the return of The Duke Spirit who will be releasing their second album on You Are Here Music in 2008.
Following the announcement of the tour the The Duke Spirit are running a competition where a fan will win the opportunity to have the band play live at their own private party in their house to celebrate the release of Ex Voto.
The party will be held at a fans house for them to enjoy with a large group of friends. It’s a one off, once in a lifetime opportunity to have a real rock band play quite literally, on your doorstep.
To enter the competition, fans must go to The Duke Spirit myspace page and complete the entry form by entering the barcode numbers found on the back of the 10� vinyl or the CD EP.
The winner will be selected completely at random on November 5 and then we’ll start planning the party for early 2008.
