The festival will take place on July 7, 12-8pm at The Liverpool Guild Of Students university campus.

This year's festival, in partnership with the University of Liverpool and Guild of Students, includes Liverpool FC and Everton FC offering soccer skills, a Fire Support Network providing cage football plus the annual AWF Basket Ball tournament.

Writing On The Wall are holding a 'Poetry Slam' competition at the Leggate Theatre at Liverpool University Victoria museum.

The festival will be formally opened by Anthony's mother, Gee Walker at 12pm at the steps of the Liverpool Guild of Students.

Mrs Walker said: 'This is a sad but special time of the year for us as a family - this year marked the 7th anniversary of Anthony's passing but to us it could have been yesterday. 7 years in no way has dulled our pain of loss for our beloved Anthony.

'However, we try to carry our pain, by staying positive we draw and reflect from the positivity's from this special day which fulfil some of his dreams and epitomises Anthony's legacy - uniting and bringing people together. Come one - come all and celebrate the remarkable Mr Anthony Walker's short life with us.'

The Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF) is a charity established by Anthony's family following his tragic death in a racially-motivated attack in July 2005.

The mission of the Foundation is to promote equality and diversity through education, sport and arts events and to support law enforcement agencies and local communities to reduce hate crime and build safe cohesive communities.
