Majeure sets the controls for the heart of the sun.

Cosmic disco head A.E. Paterra is back under his Majeure moniker with a spectacular new slice of sci-fi prog.

Solar Maximum once again applies warp factor seven pulses to John Carpenter-imbued keys to stunning atmospheric effect, not least on the 11 minute title track.

Released on October 16, via Temporary Residence, Solar Maximum builds on the stellar space disco of debut Timespan.

Drawing influence from 70s celestial film scores, ambient krautrock, and dexterous vintage prog-rock, Solar Maximum trades in the cosmic disco of Timespan for a more spacious and ominous feel that lives up to its ambiguously ambitious title.
