Dexys join Liverpool Sound City 2013 line up alongside Enter Shikari, Thee Oh Sees and raft of emerging buzz bands.

Liverpool Sound City 2013 have announced their next wave of bands including Dexys who will play a unique one-off at the city's iconic Anglican Cathedral.

Further bands to join the bill are Enter Shikari, Thee Oh Sees, Mount Kimbie, Future Of The Left, Alunageorge, King Krule, Outfit and a raft of hotly-tipped emerging bands.

Organisers of the three-day festival, which takes place on May 2-4, have previously announced The Walkmen, Toy and many more, while Everything But The Girl's Tracy Thorn forms part of their daytime industry panel programme.

Dexys return to Liverpool off the back of a superb performance at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall last year (review), where they showcased new tracks from new album One Day I'm Going To Soar alongside a host of classics.

Breaking artists on the Liverpool Sound City 2013 bill include Warp Records' Darkstar, psych-fusionists Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Liverpool's GIT Award nominees Outfit and Dan Croll plus Solely, Theme Park, Amateur Best, Marmozets, Hacktivist, Mind Enterprises, and Brolin plus a showcase from Double Denim Records.

The man behind the Rage Against The X Factor campaign, Jon Morter, who's social media campaign saw Rage Against The Machine net the Christmas number one slot joins the industry panel.
